Call of Duty 4 DLC: Chinatown
Call of Duty 4 was a heavy hitter back in Fall 2007 and it continues to top the heaviest hitters on both Xbox Live and PSN. Just recently we got word that a new DLC map pack was in the works for both the 360 and PS3 versions of the games and got a sneak peek at two of the four announced maps.
Both Creek and Broadcast were shown to the public via community manager fourzerotwo's blog and gamespot.com. The other two maps, Killhouse and Chinatown were held behind closed doors until a later date. Now nearing closer to the projected Spring release date of these maps Infinity Ward has finally shown their map Chinatown to the public.
Fans of Call of Duty 4 will notice first off that this is not the Middle East or Russian setting that the rest of the multiplayer maps take place. So what connects this map to the Call of Duty franchise as a whole? Long time fans will recognize the similarities between CoD2 map Carentan and new map Chinatown. In fact Chinatown is simply an updated more modern version of Carentan. Check out the screens below to see the comparison.
Look for the final map, Killhouse , to be reviled at a later date. The map pack has not been officially priced but sources close to the studio indicate that they are trying to bring these new maps to players for the lowest price possible.

A surprise unavailing today at Microsoft's GDC 2008 keynote left many gamers on the edges of their seats. A trailer for the highly anticipated Gears of War 2 was shown at the conference. It showed a stylized scene in which hero Marcus Fenix fights a Locust solider in chainsaw-to-chainsaw combat ending with Fenix using his chainsaw as a bayonet and impaling his opponent.
Following the trailer was a release date confirmation of November 2008 by the master mind himself, Cliffy B. He also went on to say that Gears of War 2 will be an Xbox 360 exclusive and taking recent comments from the developer into account, Gears of War 2 may never see the light of day on the PC.

The Buzz Surrounding the Shaq Trade
On February 7th, less then one week after the Los Angeles Lakers landed Pau Gasol for basically nothing but two future prospects and a number one overall draft bust in Kwame Brown. The Phoenix Suns traded Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks for the Diesel. This was seen as a huge risk and I concur with this, giving up a proven 15 and 1 guy in Marion for a Worn Shaquille Oneal may seem crazy, but the Reward can be so much sweeter.
Lately there has been a lot of Nay sayers from Analysts such as Charles Barkley and Bill Walton. In Shaquille's introduction to the Suns organization he shot a little comeback to Micheal Wilbon (who has now jumped ships, and thinks Shaq coming is a good thing for the Suns) by saying "When I'm upset I've been known to do things like win championships".
Bill Walton, who thought this trade was for the worse of the Suns went on record by saying "if this works out for Shaquille O'neal this will be a terrible indictment of him , because he was doing absolutely nothing, saying he couldn't play at all, now he says he's going to win the championship whats up with this". Shaquille responded with "his Resume (Bill Walton) isn't quite good enough to speak on what I have done, you know I have spoken to Bill Russel, I have had conversation with Wilt Chaimberlain, rest in peace, I haven't talked to Kareem. One thing I look at what Mr. Walton has done and I look at what Mr. Walton has said, and if there is one thing I hate it's a hypocrite. If I'm faking an injury; his whole injury plagued career is a fake. Here's a guy (Bill Walton) who has only played one or two seasons injury free, and now he is talking about me being injured".
All we can do now is sit and wait, will this ultimate gamble pay off for Phoenix, because we all know Steve Nash, although showing no signs of aging, is getting older and that back is getting worse. As Tuesday, February 20th gets closer and closer for Shaq's era to begin in Phoenix. Ironically for the team who he won 3 NBA title's with and is still loved by most fans. He comes to play by his old 1 - 2 tandem in Kobe Bryant (NBA's Second Leading scorer in the NBA) with Phoenix up by one and a half games and possibly down to one game by the time the game is played. With this to mean more for the Suns than the Lakers.(Lakers lead season series 2-1)
